IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR GROUPS BRINGING THEIR OWN COACH

Please advise your coach company of the following information:

From July 2008, all buses and coaches entering London must reach the emissions standards for the Low Emission Zone which is Euro standard III. The charge for not meeting this standard is £200 per day.

We are advising all of our groups affected by this new legislation that they should employ a coach company that meets Euro standard III or that agrees to pay the £200 charge if it doesn’t.

Vehicles first registered as new on or after 1 October 2001 are assumed to meet this standard, but please check with your coach company.

The emissions standards for the Low Emission Zone (LEZ) are based on Euro standards. These define the limits for exhaust emissions for new vehicles sold in European Union (EU) member states, and which vehicles must comply with when manufactured.
